November 2003


At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, Pulaski County held its annual Veteran's Day Service on the courthouse lawn in Winamac. Programs were also held at both county high schools, West Central and Winamac.

Choir sings at Winamac Community High School veterans program

Francesville American Legion Commander Robert Hansen presented Charlie Mellon, father of West Central Superintendent Charles Mellon, with his long overdue Bronze Star. The son had the honor of pinning the medal on his father's chest.
Sponsor Beth Siemens (shown here with Ed Nielsen) and the WCHS Student Council organized and presented the tribute to veterans which was attended by over 50 local veterans and their spouses.
