Celebrating 150 Years of Country Living
Medaryville Sesquicentennial

A colorful mural depicting elements from Medaryville’s 150-year history was painted on this downtown building by David Sparks.

This year Medaryville turned its annual Potato Fest into a Sesquicentennial Celebration, paying tribute to its rich , rural heritage and a remarkable 150 years of country living.

This Sesquicentennial Quilt was made and donated by Judy Bathke and Patsy Foust using old photos from Medaryville.

They named it "Stars over Medaryville" and it has become an instant hit among all those seeing it all summer long at various shows.

One of the highlights of the Medaryville Sesquicentennial Celebration was the dedication of the new 3,800-square-foot Medaryville Library Branch. Pulaski County Public Library board president Paul Baker welcomed dignitaries who helped make the $582,176 project a reality, as well as the enthusiastic public who were happy to have a library back in town.
