Little Mister and Little Miss were Hayden Westphal and Samantha Daughtery.

Audra Leman sold her grand
champion goat to Sunny Ridge Dairy and Sid Leman. Pictured with Audra
(l-r) are Doug and Margaret Leman and Sid and Fern Leman. Holding
Audra's trophy is her sister, Veronica.

The
temperature during fair week was in the 90s - so Daniel Kasten kept
his hogs cool with a simple watering can.

Celebrating 100 Years of 4-H

Payton Daily sold his grand champion barrow to Community
State Bank, represented by Joe Carlson (right), Stine Seeds of Kewanna,
represented by Nick Carlson (left), Bonnell Grain Handling and Equipment
of Star City, Golden Harvest, and Prairie Seeds of Star City. Pictured
with Payton are his sister, Maggie, and his father, Robert Daily.

The Monroe 76'ers 4-H Club constructed this parade float celebrating
100 years of 4-H for the annual 4-H parade. Club leader Rex Cudworth
is shown at left.

Yum, yum! How many milkshakes did you have at the fair? The milkshake
stand, sponsored by the county milk producers, is a longstanding tradition
at the fair. And Farm Bureau Inc. pays for a free milk shake for every
4-Her!
