Pulaski
County Relay
for Life
2003 Coaches
Basketball Challenge

Yes!
The coaches demonstrate they know their stuff (!?!) - and all for
a great cause ...
NOBODY
DOES IT BETTER.
One
reason Pulaski Countys annual Relay for Life sets state
and national standards for success in raising funds for American Cancer
Society programs is that the efforts for the event continue throughout
the year.

A new event
this spring was a "Coaches Basketball Challenge," featuring
teams of coaches from the county's two high schools, West Central,
and Winamac Community.
The
game proved to be a fun-filled event, and the coaches didn't dissappoint.
The game was filled with three-point shots, fast breaks, tight defenses
and even slam-dunks. There were eight lead changes and eight ties
in the first half. For an event like this, the score hardly mattered
(but in the end, Winamac won).
The
evening began with a porkloin/chicken sandwich dinner. Cheerleaders
from both schools entertained at halftime. Basketball skills contests
amused the crowd during timeouts, and a lucky (?) coach from each
team was chosen in a popularity vote to kiss a pig! All proceeds will
benefit this year's Relay.
The
sixth annual Pulaski County Relay for Life will run run from
6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Friday/Saturday, June 13-14, at the Winamac
Town Park. (Click
