Giving from the heart ... the beat goes on


Over 200 women (and many men) attended the celebration

Women don’t always take time for themselves.

That was the observation of keynote speaker Sally Brown, a world traveler, motivational leader, author and founder of Ambassadors for Children, a humanitarian organization that offers volunteer opportunities worldwide.

She was “preaching to the choir,” speaking to a standing-room-only hall filled with a good many county women who seldom take time for themselves.


The occasion was the fourth annual Women of Pulaski County Celebration. The event “celebrates women as ‘givers’ in the past, present and future who through their service, leadership and resources have helped to build positive relations between our county’s communities.”

Known as one of the most elegant and charming events staged in Pulaski County, over 200 women (and many men) attended the celebration held at the Church of the Nazarene in Winamac last Saturday.
