Monterey Days Festival

The Monterey American Legion leads the parade with a patriotic salute.

The Monterey Fire Department Volunteers were the grand marshals of the annual parade. The new International Model 7400 U.S. Tanker “Heritage Series” 3,000-gallon tanker-pumper was the featured fire truck in the parade. The truck was purchased with a $150,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community & Rural Affairs and the proceeds from many local fundraisers and donations.
